UConn began the month of July with a bang, as 2023 DB Cameron Chadwick committed to the Huskies. Chadwick, standing at 6'0 175, chose the Huskies over offers from Army, Bryant, Colorado State, Delaware, Duke, James Madison, Monmouth, Navy, New Mexico State, Stony Brook, Temple, and Wake Forest.

Chadwick's recruiting picked up last summer, attending various camps, and first heard from UConn in January. He was a part of the big official visit weekend June 17-19th. "The official visit was amazing! I had a fantastic time. I met with a lot of players and they helped make my decision certain. They also told me what they are doing now to bring the program back on top. I want to be a part of that."

Chadwick detailed why UConn was the best place for him. "I felt like UConn was the best fit for me after my official visit. They kept it real with me the entire time. That’s what I needed. I created a bond with the entire coaching staff that had a huge part in my decision."

Chadwick also had a message for UConn fans. "I would like to say to the UConn fans just hold on tight, this 2023 class going to bring the (glory) days back to UConn. Let’s fill that stadium to the limit!"
