UConn Football adds its third verbal commitment for the Class of 2017 as Bebe Olaniyan, a cornerback who plays at Woodberry Forest High in Virginia, announced his commitment on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.

Olaniyan stands 6-foot-1, 185 pounds and is currently unrated on Rivals. He played in 10 games as a junior, grabbing one interception, forcing one fumble and making one fumble recovery. Woodberry Forest is a well-known power in the Virginia prep scene, typically sending multiple players to Division I every year.

Olaniyan had made a visit to UConn a few years ago while his brother, Aramide, was going through the recruiting process, and then returned on Tuesday to attend a camp.

After the camp, he met with co-defensive coordinator Anthony Poindexter and defensive backs coach Josh Reardon and then with the head man himself, Bob Diaco, who extended the offer. Olaniyan committed on the spot.

The Maryland native joins Jordan McAfee and Rob Saulin as verbal commitments for the class of 2017. McAfee is a quarterback and Saulin plays defensive end.

UConn Report will be speaking with Olaniyan tonight for a feature tomorrow.
