Ulizio schedules official visit

The UConn coaching staff was busy this week finalizing a few official visits. One of these will be taken by offensive lineman Nolan Ulizio of West Chester (Oh.) Lakota West next weekend. This will be Ulizio's first visit to UConn, and he is eager for the Husky experience.
"Next weekend I'm taking an official there," said Ulizio, who was asked if UConn had offered yet. "They want me to visit campus first."

Ulizio's relationship with UConn is not necessarily new.
"They've been recruiting me for a couple of months," he said. "They came to a few of our games."
Recruiting Ulizio for UConn has been Coach Cummings, who has done a good job getting him ready for his visit.
"I'm excited to see the facilities, the campus and to learn more about the school and the football program," he said. "I think that it is a really good school and I feel that the football program is on the rise and will be good."
While he waits for the UConn offer, Ulizio does already have offers from Youngstown State, Indiana State, New Hampshire, Tennessee-Martin, Robert Morris and Duquesne.
"We've had a lot of schools coming into our school and I've been talking to them," he said. "Virginia came in today (Thursday) and Cincinnati is showing some interest."
So does Ulizio have any plans to take additional official visits?
"This is going to be my first one and I'm not sure where I'm gonna take my other officials yet," he said.
Finally, Ulizio gave a rundown of his senior season.
"I think I had a really good season and I played both right and left tackle," he said. "I think my run blocking improved the most, especially outside zone."
