UConn set to visit NJ junior
The UConn coaching staff will be hitting the road once again as the dead period concludes today. One stop the staff will be making is to Cedar Grove, N.J. to check on junior wide receiver David Njoku, who may be one of the more intriguing prospects in the Garden State next recruiting season.
"They are coming to my school tomorrow [Friday]," said Njoku, who is 6-foot-4 and 207 pounds. "They've been talking to my coach for awhile. I am going to speak with them in person in school on Friday."

Njoku has yet to speak to anyone from the coaching staff via phone or Facebook, but he does have a few thoughts about the program.
"I'm interested and curious," he said. "I am going to look into their program more and maybe take a visit."
As he waits for his first offer, other schools that have scheduled visits to Cedar Grove in the near future include Rutgers, Michigan and possibly Missouri.
Njoku is excited about this increase of interest.
"It feel pretty good," he said. "Many colleges are asking about me according to my coach, so I get a little eager from time to time."
To further showcase his athletic ability, Njoku is currently playing on the basketball team and is ranked third in the state in rebounding, averaging just under 15 per game.
On the field during his junior season, Njoku finished with 30 receptions for 711 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively he added 47 tackles, two interceptions and one sack.
"I am happy, but feel like I could have did better," said Njoku, whose team lost in the state championship game. "Since we left Giants Stadium disappointed, vengeance is our motto."
