UConn ready to visit NJ TE

Tight end Xavier Wilson of Cinnaminson, N.J. has remained rather quiet up to this point, but with one offer on the table and several other schools showing interest, he is a name to remember.
Wilson, 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds, currently has an offer from Massachusetts and has decided to concentrate his recruiting to four schools.

"UMass offered already, UConn should offer me on Monday and Rutgers and Temple are waiting for my SAT's, but all of them should offer," he said.
With Coach Matt Cersosimo scheduled to visit him today, Wilson discussed what the Huskies have been telling him about a possible offer.
"They are going to look over my grades and film from this season and after that they're going to offer me," he said.
Wilson already has some strong feelings about the UConn program.
"I think their program is on the rise with some of the young talent they have," said Wilson. "With me being a tight end, I know I'll fit right into their offense. They also have good structure and support centers for the players if they need extra help."
Part of what has intrigued schools about Wilson is his athleticism and versatility on the field.
"I play tight end, fullback, running back, wide receiver, defensive end, defensive tackle and middle linebacker," said Wilson. "The team is looking strong this season and I have improved on my footwork and quickness."
