UConn offers NY DE

Playing his high school football up by Buffalo, it seems to have taken college coaches a little longer to identify junior defensive end Jake Fuzak of Williamstown, N.Y. However, things are now changing, as UConn recently became the second school to offer.
"I have received two offers from UConn and the University of Buffalo," said Fuzak. "UConn offered last week and Buffalo in the summer."

Fuzak, 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, gave some insight on his UConn offer.
"They extended the offer though my coach, Kreig Kurzanski," said Fuzak. "I have heard many good things about the campus and program but I have yet to form my own opinions."
Fuzak does not have any set plans to visit UConn at this time, but he is still piecing together his schedule. At this time he has summer camp plans at Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Northwestern and UCLA. He also is looking to check out West Virginia and Old Dominion.
On the field last fall, Fuzak experienced success both personally and with his team.
"The season went well," he said. "We finished 7-2. I had 4.5 sacks, 69 tackles, three blocked passes and ten tackles for a loss."
Now he has turned his attention to improving his level of play.
"I'm working to improve my explosion off the ball, my football knowledge, meaning understanding the game better, and also my general strength and speed," he said.
UConnReport.com will continue to stay in touch with Fuzak to see if he makes his way to UConn during the coming months.
