UConn leads for Hill

Three-star running back Alden Hill of Marlington (Ohio) Alliance has been a top target for the UConn coaching staff since they offered approximately two months ago. Yesterday the staff had a chance to introduce the UConn program to Hill in person, as the talented back made his way to Storrs for an unofficial visit.
"It was amazing," said Hill, who is 6-foot-2 and 220-pounds . "It really blew me away."

During his visit, the staff made it a point to show Hill that he was a priority for them.
"I really liked that I am their top recruit in that position and that they are in need of a back to come in early and see the field," said Hill. "I also love the tradition of great backs their team has had."
Aside from the potential of early playing time, plenty of other things also impressed Hill about UConn.
"I thought their facilities were one of the best I have seen," said Hill. "I liked the running back coach, Coach White, and the head coach, Coach P. I enjoyed getting to watch film on their offense with them and the coaches felt that I resembled some of their past backs."
His experience at UConn was enough to help the Huskies move to the top of his list.
"They definitely moved to the top of my list," said Hill, who mentioned that Michigan, Iowa, Illinois and Vanderbilt are also in his top five.
Finally, Hill was asked if he had a timeline for a final decision.
"I want to make my decision before the season or mid-way through," said Hill.
UConnReport.com will continue to check in with Hill to see how his recruiting process moves along.
