The former two-star recruit hails from Stratford, Connecticut and signed with the Hukskies over 10 other offers from programs such as Albany, Army, Coastal Carolina, Dartmouth, Maine, UMass, Navy, Sacred Heart, Towson and Wagner.

In year one with the program back in 2021, Phommachanh appeared in three games as the starting quarterback throwing 35-of-72 for 321 yards and one touchdown before suffering a season ending injury. He also rushed 24 times for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite being back from injury in 2022, Phommachanh didn't see the field this past season. He will now enter the portal with three years of eligibility remaining.
