UConn checking on MD LB

UConn was able to host a number of out-of-state prospects during their numerous summer camp sessions. Another one of these recruits was linebacker Winston DeLattiboudere of Ellicott City (Md.) Howard, who recapped his experience with UConnReport.com and discussed where he currently stands with the Huskies.
DeLattiboudere, 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, attended college camps at UConn, Buffalo, Wake Forest, Towson and Stony Brook. He shared his thoughts on the UConn camp.

"I thought it was great," he said. "Coach Lineburg is my recruiting coordinator and he introduced me to their program in a great way. The camp was very well organized."
Along the way, DeLattiboudere and Coach Lineburg developed a connection.
"He was great with his communication before, during and after camp," said DeLattiboudere. "He gives direct constructive criticism which helps the players he interacts with fix problems in a rapid fashion."
Since the camp, DeLattiboudere has found out where he stands with UConn and a possible offer.
"Coach Lineburg said I wasn't in a position to get offered at the moment, but they will keep a close eye on me," he said.
DeLattiboudere shared his thoughts on the UConn program.
"I believe that they are a possible option, but I cannot consider them 100% until I get a legit offer," he said. "The camp was a great experience."
With an offer from North Carolina Central, serious interest from schools like Stony Brook and Buffalo, and two more visits planned before his senior season begins to Villanova and Rhode Island, DeLattiboudere has stayed busy. However, soon all of his focus will be on the season.
"I have been working on change of direction as well as speed," he said. "I put on 14 pounds over the off-season. Now all I want to do is continue to become swift in order to evade blocks and be a more efficient tackler."
UConnReport.com will continue to stay in touch with DeLattiboudere to see if his interaction with the Huskies heats up during his senior season.
