Thomas ready to be a Husky

Wide receiver Noel Thomas of New Canaan (Conn.) St. Luke's has been a UConn commit since February, and as he prepares to begin his Husky career in January he took one more visit to Storrs to check out the program on hiis official visit.
"Things went well," said Thomas, who is 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds. "I enjoyed the game even though we lost. It showed that UConn can play with teams that have better records. It came down to that one interception. I also enjoyed hanging out with the guys after the game. It was a great time."

Hosting Thomas for the weekend was Byron Jones.
"He's a great guy," said Thomas. "He's also a Connecticut guy and we had a lot in common, so it worked out well."
The extra time on campus once again allowed Thomas to further establish his relationship with the coaching staff.
"The coaches were good," he said. "They're all excited for me to be coming up next month."
Thomas discussed his upcoming move to Storrs.
"I'm just so ready," he said. "I can't wait to be at UConn for good. I'm excited to get on the field officially as a Husky."
The weekend also gave Thomas an opportunity to bond with the other commitments in attendance this weekend.
"It was nice," he said. "They're all a good group of guys."
