Night of Giving at Tavern Downtown on Thursday

The Tavern Downtown Hartford, located on 201 Ann Uccello St., is a sponsor of Storrs Central and its dedicated coverage of UConn Husky sports.

The Tavern Downtown invites you to enjoy drinks, food, and fun while supporting an important local cause. On Thursday, August 8th from 5-7 p.m there will be a happy hour event benefiting Dollar Giving's "Pitch In" initiative.

By attending and showing your support, you'll be helping over 100 residents of Hartford homeless shelters attend a Hartford Yard Goats game where they'll have the chance to relax and enjoy some quality entertainment from inside one of the

Pitch In is a community program where over 100 residents of Hartford homeless shelters attend a Hartford Yard Goats game, providing them a chance to relax and enjoy a ballgame at Dunkin' Donuts Park, which is consistently named one of the top minor league ballparks in the country.

For a $20 donation, you will get a buffet meal, drink tickets, and entry into raffles for a number of great prizes! You can pay at the door, but please mark attending on the Facebook event so we can get an accurate headcount!
