Mugala planning UConn visit

Defensive end Twazanga Mugala of Charlotte (NC) Ardrey Kell picked up an offer from UConn almost a month ago, and since that time he has worked to strengthen his relationship with the coaching staff. Now with four offers, Mugala is definitely holding the Huskies in high regards.
With offers from UConn, Navy, Army and Charlotte, one school is definitely standing out to Magala.

"Right now, out of the offers I have, UConn is number one," said Mugala, who is 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds. "They're an FBS school, a fantastic academic school and a close friend of my father's, who has helped us a lot, went to UConn."
There are a few other reasons why UConn is currently standing out for Mugala.
"I've lived in the north before and I like it," he said. "And I have spoken to the coaches and they're great people and great coaches, from players I've spoken to."
Mugala, who used to live in Clifton Park, New York, is being recruited by Coach Lineburg.
"He's honest with me and we speak every week," he said. "Most coaches talk to me and give me the come to our camp speech, which I don't remember him saying. This made me feel like I wasn't just another kid on paper, you know? I feel that the coaching staff would really take care of me if I went there."
Next up for Mugala are a series of visits, which will include a stop in Storrs. He will be camping at Vanderbilt on June 13th, The Citadel on June 16th and Wake Forest on June 20th, and then taking a visit to UConn on June 23rd.
When he does make his way to Storrs for the first time, he knows what he will be looking for.
"Great facilities are big for me, and I've met the defensive coordinator and head coach, but I want to sit down with my position coach see if he's someone I can work with positively for four years," said Mugala. "Also, the campus itself of course, how big it is, and common areas like the quad where I can spend free time."
