When Toluwanimi Tunde first migrated from Nigeria to Canada, his original dream was to play soccer at the next level. Now fast forward a few years and he grew to 6-foot-5, 265-pouinds so he decided to try out football.

Not too long after that he earned an offer from the UConn Huskies and the rest was history.

Tunde has already visited UConn twice for a camp and an unofficial visit. Next up he is planning to schedule his official visit to campus for some time in September.

The visits showed Tunde that UConn was too good to pass up, as he raved about their academics, football facilities, and his relationship with the coaching staff.

In the end, Tunde ended up choosing UConn over one other offer from the likes of Buffalo, however he reported interest from multiple Power-5 schools.

RIVALS REACTION....

Overall this is a very underrated pickup for the Huskies, as Tunde is still very new to the game only playing for a little of a year so far. You can see right away on his film that he uses his size pretty well and can be a threat on either side of the ball, as he played both both defensive end and offensive tackle for his high school team. Now he is pretty raw, but you can see the potential he has if developed correctly.
