Last recruiting season, UConn was a top player for defensive back Wayne Morgan of Brooklyn (N.Y.) Erasmus Hall until the very end. While the Huskies lost out on his services, now the high school has a few Class of 2014 recruits who are starting to get noticed. One of these is cornerback Darin Peart, who camped at UConn during the summer.

Peart, 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, has not taken any visit yet this fall, but did attend camps during the summer at UConn and Rutgers.
"The camps were a good experience and fun," he said. "I loved all of the coaches."
Peart shared a few specific thoughts about his UConn camp experience.
"I think they're great and they have a beautiful campus," he said. "The coaches are cool and comfortable with me, and I'm the same with them as well."
Aside from UConn and Rutgers, Peart is also getting steady interest from Wisconsin. When it comes to visits, he does not have any planned at this time, but is open to visiting any school that is showing him serious interest.
On the field this fall, Peart is happy with both his own personal play and his team's play.
"My team and I are undefeated going into the second round of the playoffs," he said. "Things are going great for me. I'm getting faster, stronger and more focused. I know I have three interceptions this season."
Besides Peart, UConn is also keeping an eye on two other Erasmus Hall juniors, running back Kahlil Lewin and athlete Curtis Samuel.
UConnReport.com will stay in touch with Peart to see how his recruiting process progresses in the coming months.
