Ancrum updates his process

UConn recently hosted a number of recruits for an official visit, including a couple from Florida. One of these was Luke Ancrum of Sebring, Fla., who spoke to UConnReport.com about his visit, the status of his recruiting process and his upcoming plans.
"Recruiting has fallen off with a couple of teams, but new teams came into the picture," said Ancrum, who is 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds. "UMass, UConn, FAU, Eastern Kentucky and Charleston are now showing the most interest."

Ancrum's first visit of his process was to UConn earlier this month.
"It was good," said Ancrum, who was offered by UConn during his official visit. "The school and football facilities were great, and how close everything was."
Ancrum, who took the official visit to UConn alone, did mention that distance will not be a factor in his college decision.
When it comes to additional visits, he will be at Florida International on January 16th, UMass on January 23rd and Eastern Kentucky on January 30th.
Ancrum was asked what he is looking for in a program and during his visits.
"I'm looking for a great academic program and also the campus life," he said.
UConnReport.com will continue to check in with Ancrum to see how his recruiting progresses through January.
