Adama Sanogo on his commitment to UConn
Adama Sanogo has NBA dreams and UConn is the place the 6-foot-9 center has chosen to help get him there.
The top-100 2021 prospect announced Tuesday morning that he is reclassifying to the 2020 class and will be attending UConn, despite having never visited the campus.
“I picked UConn because I think I can do something special there,” he said, via a conference call.
Sanogo, who was 75th in Rivals' 2021 rankings, was a huge close for UConn head coach Dan Hurley and his staff heading into an uncertain off-season due to the coronavirus.
“I picked them because they do a good job with their big men,” Sanogo said.
