Randy Edsall and his staff have their first quarterback commitment for the class of 2018 in Georgia native Steven Krajewski. The 6-foot-4 passer chose UConn over offers from Syracuse, Marshall, and Georgia State.

Krajewski received his offer from the Huskies in May and made at least two visits to Storrs since then, including an official visit this past weekend. He plays for Colquitt County high school in Moultrie, Georgia, where he served as the backup under center last season. His head coach, Alabama high school legend Rush Propst, says Krajewski runs a 4.8 second 40-yard dash and has great long-term potential, as he told AL.com:

"I've been doing this a long time," Propst said. "He's big. He's strong. He loves the game of football. I've seen a lot of them play in [the Power 5] that's not as good as he is."

According to MaxPreps, Krajewski currently has 1014 passing yards and 9 touchdowns through the air. He also has 134 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground. Krajewski had one of his best performances of the season against the No. 1 team in his league in September.
