UConn Football has landed a new commitment today , as 2023 tight end Nader Chirchi has committed and signed with the program per social media.

Chirchi is a Virginia native and plays his high school ball for Thomas Edison over in Alexandria, Virginia. He is listed as a 6-foot-7, 235-pound tight end prospect and chose the Huskies over offers from the likes of Charlotte, Rutgers and the Virginia Military Institute.

The 2023 tight end prospect first earned the UConn offer back on October 20th and things escalated pretty quickly after that as he made a trip to Storrs during the first weekend after the college football regular season ended on December 9th.

After the trip to campus, Chirchi went back home to think some things over and discuss it with family and ended up committing not too long after the official visit. However he kept the decision quiet until signing day, where he took to Twitter to announce the news.

This past season, Chirchi lined up all over the field for his high school team playing tight end, offensive tackle and defensive end. By the end of the year he hauled in 32 receptions for 452 yards and 8 touchdowns as a senior.
