Corey Evans: Where Does UConn Go From Here?

Rivals' new national analyst, Corey Evans, broke down where UConn could be looking in the class of 2017 after Hamidou Diallo choosing Kentucky over the Huskies:

"There isn’t a whole lot still available from the 2017 class, but one prospect to track is Eric Ayala. Ayala is currently ranked as a four-star prospect in the class of 2018, but he’s on track to graduate in the spring and may be leaning towards going to college in 2017-18 rather than taking a prep year."

The Huskies will also be active in the transfer market, but with little remaining in the class of 2017, besides holding on hope to landing Mohamed Bamba, Ayala represents the best chance for UConn to quickly add some scoring prowess to its roster if he chooses to re-classify down. Storrs Central spoke with Ayala in December.

If just graduating seniors leave the program, UConn will have two open scholarships next year.
