A busy weekend in Storrs resulted in several commitments, one of them being from Proctor Academy's (NH) Toriyan Johnson.
Johnson, a 6'8 320 OL, chose the Huskies over offers from Maine, and Robert Morris, plus interest from Pitt. A teammate of fellow commit Cleto Chol, Johnson will come to Storrs as a building block for future offensive lines.
Now he was first being recruited by the previous staff, only making a visit once in 2021 for camp. Once HC Jim Mora took over, new OC Nick Charlton reached out and visited Proctor Academy. According to Johnson, UConn has shown the most love.

Speaking of the schedule, Johnson is excited for the variety of teams UConn will be playing. "I think their schedule is great because they get to play on a national stage and get to play against other great competition.
