WATCH: UConn Football's Coordinators at Huskies' Media Day

We had a chance to speak with both of UConn Football's new coordinators at the team's media day as they start camp and the countdown to August 31st against Holy Cross.

Defensive coordinator Billy Crocker shared the benefits of the 3-3-5 defense, stating that the new scheme allows UConn to put more athletes on the field and have more different looks to keep the offense guessing where pressure is coming from. He also discussed the personnel fit from a roster which he inherited built for a 3-4 and depth at various position groups, among other things.

Offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee discussed his greatest concern heading into camp, which was depth, noting that the offensive line and running back positions were particularly light. He also shared his thoughts on the quarterback competition, the situation at WR and RB, and why he chose to come to UConn.
