Ulizio recaps his decision

It was a very productive official visit weekend for UConn, with three commitments coming their way so far. One of these was from offensive lineman Nolan Ulizio of West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West, who was offered during the visit and did not waste any time accepting it.
"I committed to UConn," said Ulizio, who is 6-foot-5 and 293 pounds. "Coach Diaco told me about my offer when I met with him."

Several things stood out to Ulizio during his visit.
"The coaching staff, the campus and the facilities were amazing and I felt at home there," he said.
More specifically, Coach Diaco made a great impression on Ulizio.
"He is a great coach and feel he is gonna turn around the program," said Ulizio.
During the visit, Ulizio obviously spent a great deal of time with the other visitors and also current members of the team. His host for the weekend was Mikal Myers.
"He was a good host and a great guy," said Ulizio. "I really enjoyed him being my host."
Accompanying Ulizio on his visit were his parents and his sister.
"They loved it," he said. "They really liked the campus and enjoyed talking with all the coaches and were happy with my decision."
As with most recruits, Ulizio is happy to get this part of his process completed.
"It feels great," he said. "It feels like a huge weight is lifted off my shoulders."
Finally, Ulizio mentioned that he was told that he can play either left guard, center or right tackle at UConn.
