Based on the results of the preseason coaches' poll and player awards announced at Thursday's Big East media day, one may question whether UConn women's basketball ever left the conference at all. In an unsurprising yet resounding display, the Big East coaches unanimously picked the Huskies to win the league and handed UConn players both preseason accolades, with Christyn Williams winning Preseason Big East Player of the Year and Paige Bueckers taking down Preseason Big East Freshman of the Year.
