UConn Football redshirt junior offensive lineman Christian Haynes earned Sporting News Second-Team and Associated Press Third-Team All-American honors on Tuesday, becoming the first Husky to earn the honor since running back Jordan Todman back in 2010.

Haynes helped lead an offensive line group that started all 12 games together and helped fuel the 32nd best rushing attack in the country as the Huskies averaged 194.9 rushing yards per game.

Not to mention he also helped the team go from one win in 2021 to six wins in 2022, thus clinching the team's first bowl game appearance since 2015.

Next up for Haynes, he will look to lead the UConn offense for one last time this season as they will take on Marshall in the 2022 Myrtle Beach Bowl. Kickoff is set for 2:30pm on Monday, December 19th and the game will be televised on ESPN.

Following the game, Haynes will have a decision to make if he wants to enter the 2023 NFL Draft or return to Storrs for one final season. Currently only one Draft Analyst has Haynes ranked and that is PFF's Mike Renner who ranked him No. 83 overall among draft prospects back in early November.
