On the day UConn announced the 2015-16 men's basketball schedule, the excitement for the 2016-17 season continued to elevate.
Juwan Durham, the No. 27 player in the Class of 2016, announced his commitment to UConn Tuesday afternoon via Twitter.

This was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made but I'd like to announce that I will be committing to the University of Connecticut 🔵⚪️- Juwan Durham (@JuwanDurham) September 1, 2015
Durham made his visit to Storrs over the weekend, which happened to be move-in weekend at UConn. He announced Monday he would be making a top five later this week, making Tuesday's announcement a bit of a surprise.
The 6-foot-9-inch forward had several major offers, including Kansas, Indiana, Texas, Auburn, Florida and Syracuse. Being from Tampa, Durham also had an offer from USF. The Bulls were the only other team from the American to offer Durham.
UConn now has three players from the Class of 2016 verbally committed for next season. Durham joins Alterique Gilbert (No. 39) and Mamadou Diarra (No. 147) in UConn's class for next season. Terry Larrier, a transfer from VCU, will also be able to play for the Huskies next year.
