Teggart named Player of the Week

UConn's Dave Teggart was named the Big East Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday after making all four of his field goals, including a 47-yarder against the wind, in his first career appearance against Cincinnati on Saturday.
Teggart, a redshirt freshman, finished with 16 total points after making all four of his extra-point tries.

The performance comes a week after head coach Randy Edsall benched Tony Ciaravino, a fifth-year senior who had missed three field goals against Rutgers.
Running back Donald Brown was also named to the Big East honor roll on Monday for his performance on Saturday. The junior rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns and caught four passes for 58 yards in UConn's 40-16 win and set the school record for rushing yards in a season with his performance.
