Davis ready to enroll

Tyler Davis became a fan favorite amongst UConn supporters before he even enrolled at the school. With his official enrollment taking place in just a few weeks, Davis took one last visit back to UConn as a recruit to enjoy his time on campus and further strengthen his bonds to the program.
Davis is no stranger to the program at this point, so what made this visit different?

"Definitely spending a lot of time with the current players made it different," he said. "It really felt right just hanging out with my future teammates. Saying that I'll be there in less than a month, it really felt like it was home."
Davis took his official visit with his parents and both of his brothers."
"They couldn't have been happier with the whole weekend," he said. "They know that this coaching staff is gonna take great care of me so my family has nothing to worry about."
Since his commitment, Davis has made it a priority to get more comfortable with the coaching staff.
"I feel like my connection with the staff grows each time we're together," he said. "They're a great staff to be around."
With his move to UConn just a few weeks away, and then spring practice right around the corner, Davis was asked about the coaching staff's expectations for him in the near future.
"The coaches have just been preaching to me that I'll have a shot to compete and that's all I could ask for," he said. "I can't wait to come in and compete right away, and work my tail off to make this team better."
As most fans know, Davis has taken an aggressive approach to recruiting since he committed, so being around the other visitors this past weekend was another highlight for him.
"Being around the other recruits was awesome," he said. "We had an automatic connection because of their love for the game of football. We connected right from meeting each other and in the end I was blessed with three more brothers."
Those three brothers are the three commitments that the Huskies picked up over the weekend. Davis also realizes that during the next official visit weekend in late January, he will actually a student on campus and not a recruit.
"It honestly blows my mind," he said. "I'm really looking forward to it though. This has been my dream to play big time D1 football since I was five, so it's really just a blessing that it's coming soon.
