Awesome time for Lagow

Plano, Texas quarterback Richard Lagow was last in Storrs for a summer camp session, which resulted in an offer and his commitment. He returned this past weekend for his official visit, which only made his decision to commit more solid.
"It was awesome," said Lagow. "It couldn't have gone better."

When asked to mention some of his highlights from the weekend, Lagow was quick to point out two things specifically.
"Hanging out with the other commits and the game was awesome also," he said. "The stadium is really nice and it had a great atmosphere."
While he is the only commit from Texas, he felt right at home in Storrs with his future teammates.
"It was like we had been playing together the last four years in high school," he said. "It was awesome."
Throughout the weekend Lagow had the opportunity to chat with the coaching staff.
"They were fired up to have me on board," he said.
The visit also allowed Lagow's family to get more familiar with their son's future home.
"They had a great time," he said. "They liked everything. As long as I'm happy they will be too."
Finally, Lagow was asked about the cold weather, which he was a little nervous about coming into the weekend.
"It wasn't that bad really," he said. "I'll get used to it pretty quick."
