Another visit for Khalife

Defensive end Anthony Khalife of Wilkes Barre (Pa.) James M. Coughlin took a visit to UConn for the junior day in February and then returned on Saturday to check out the Huskies in action during a spring practice.
"I had a great time on Saturday," said Khalife. "I was able to sit in the pre-practice meetings, which was awesome. I enjoyed watching practice, especially the scrimmage."

A few things stood out to Khalife about the scrimmage.
"The intensity, especially when they went to the two-minute drill," said Khalife, who is 6-foot-4, 235 pounds. "I liked the competitiveness between the players."
Aside from his interaction with the coaching staff in the pre-practice meetings, he also spoke to several coaches during and after the scrimmage.
"I talked with all of the coaches again, but mostly I talked with Coach Hughes and Head Coach Pasqualoni," said Khalife. "I went to the defensive line meetings too. All of the coaches are great guys and I always enjoy speaking with them."
Has anything changed with Khalife and UConn when it comes to a possible offer?
"It's still the same right now," he said. "They want me to come to camp."
Before his visit to UConn, Khalife also made his way to Pittsburgh last week to check out a practice. He will also visit Colgate next Saturday, but does not have further trips planned.
Overall, a number of schools are showing steady interest now.
"UConn, Pitt, Maryland and Buffalo are showing the most interest now I would say," said Khalife. "I haven't been able to visit, but I've also heard a lot from Rutgers."
