UConn Football continues to roll on the recruiting trail, as they landed their third commitment in the past five days as 2024 offensive guard Deron McLaughlin made his decision public via social media.

The New Jersey native plays for Park Ridge High School and chose the Huskies over offers from the likes of Army, Coastal Carolina, Eastern Michigan, UMass and a few other schools.

The Huskies are adding great size to their offensive line with this addition as he weighs in at 6-foot-5, 270-pounds and is a two time All Bergen County all league selection. McLaughlin also brings some good versatility as he can play anywhere on the line for his high school team, although he will likely be playing guard or center at the next level.

This commitment comes after his official visit to Storrs this weekend in which the coaching staff was able to win him over with a good trip. In the end, it was the bond with the coaches along with the high academics at UConn that sold McLaughlin on the Huskies in the end.

UConn continues to make the offensive line a priority as they want to help build their offense around their upward trending quarterback room.
