Prior to attending the Mega Camp at UConn on May 29th, McDonald was in contact with OC Nick Charlton. He earned an offer that day. McDonald was scheduled to visit Rutgers this weekend, but that visit has been canceled. He visited UConn on 6/22. "I was on my visit all day this past Tuesday. The independent schedule is also something that excites McDonald. "Their schedule is a very tough one, but I think it is an awesome one. I am most excited to see the guys compete against Michigan this year, and for me to go down to Tennessee my freshman year."
