2014 QB ready for visits

Junior quarterback Stephen Barmore of Southington, Conn. has had a busy fall which has prevented him from taking any visits to this point. However, he will hit the road for a trio of games in the next two weekends, including UConn.
"I'm going to the UConn/Pitt game this Friday, I'm going to the Yale/Princeton game this Saturday and I'm going to the Boston College/Virginia Tech game the following Saturday," said Barmore, who is 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds.

The lack of visits has not slowed down Barmore's recruiting process.
"Recruiting is going very well," he said. "I have been receiving mail from multiple colleges on a regular basis and plan on making some unofficial visits after the season. Yale and Boston College have shown the most interest so far. I plan on visiting both of them after the season and will begin talking to UConn, Rutgers and Harvard about visiting them as well."
With a trio of visits coming up, Barmore knows what he will be looking for.
"I'm hoping to get a good feel for what each school is all about and if I could see myself fitting in there," he said. "I also really want to develop some good relationships with some of the coaches."
Barmore already has an interesting connection with one of the UConn coaches.
"Jon Wholley is recruiting me," he said. "His younger brother played on my team when I was a freshman. He's a great guy and a good coach."
On the field this fall, Barmore has not disappointed.
"I've led my team to an 8-0 start so far," he said. "In our class size, which is LL, I am the leader in passing with 1,600 yards and 17 touchdowns. I also have a completion percentage of 61.4% and a QB rating of 118, and I have rushed for 319 yards and nine touchdowns. If we win our next game, we will clinch a playoff spot."
Barmore has definitely noticed improvements in his game compared to last season.
"I've gotten bigger, faster, and stronger," he said. "Also, I've developed better timing with my receivers and become more accurate."
