Three UConn Football staffers named to Football Scoop's Rising Stars List
Three UConn Football staff members have been named to the 2022 Football Scoop Minority Watch List of Rising Stars, as running backs EJ Barthel, linebackers coach Siriki Diabate and offensive analyst Mickey Grace all earned the honor of making the list.
According to Football Scoop, the list was put together by, "double-digit NFL coaches and scouts, more than 100 college coaches and staffers, as well as myriad other figures in football."
Barthel and Diabate both joined the Huskies program this past offseason as part of the inaugural staff under new head coach Jim Mora.
Prior to her arrival in Storrs, Barthel spent time at various programs all up and down the east coast, including a stint in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers. While Diabate moved around from the east coast to the midwest and back, spending time at Syracuse, Colgate, Notre Dame and Middle Tennessee.
Along with those two, UConn Football offensive analyst Mickey Grace also earned the honor of being selected to the list. Grace also joined the program this offseason and became the first woman offensive analyst in program history.
Prior to her arrival at UConn, Grace also spent time as an assistant defensive line coach for Dartmouth and also was an intern and apprentice for multiple NFL teams.
