2023 K Seth Turner details UConn Football commitment
The UConn Football program has added another recruit this week to their 2023 class as they secured the commitment of 2023 kicker Seth Turner.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound kicker has made it to the The Rent twice this season watching the Huskies take down both Boston College and Liberty and that helped seal the deal for him.
Turner loved a lot about UConn and it stood out to him in many different ways. He compares the school to his high school, mentioning how they are both on the rise and play with a lot of passion.
He has also built great relationships with the staff.
“My relationship with the coaches is great," Turner told The UConn Report. "I only met coaches Shearer and Rountree recently, but I immediately knew they were the type of coaches for me. Coach Shearer’s energy is electric and coach Rountree is clearly an incredibly knowledgeable guy. I also had a conversation with coach (Jim) Mora on my first visit and he is a very personable and respectful guy.”
Visiting Storrs in the past, Turner already knew what to expect the second time around. However, he initially fell in love with the campus on his first visit for the game against Boston College.
Then the second time around, Turner brought his family up to campus for the game against Liberty and the rest was history..
“It felt like home to me both times I was there," said Turner. "The facilities are awesome and the campus itself is beautiful.”
As a player, Turner can bring in some depth at both kicker and punter as he is ranked among of the nations best at both spots. He is also ready mentally and physically to get started as a Husky and can’t wait to get on the field.
