TE commit keeping options open
Four-star tight end Andrew Isaacs committed to Boston College in November and since then he has been awarded four-stars by Rivals.com.
The Manchester (Conn.) tight end is ranked the No. 182 prospect on the Rivals250 so it was clear that other schools weren't going to give up without a fight.
Recently Isaacs has attended junior days at a couple of other schools. What's his status with the Eagles?
"I've been to a Maryland junior day and that was pretty good. I went to UConn's junior day (on Sunday) and that was a good one, too."
UConn has already offered Isaacs while Maryland is showing strong interest.
"I'm already real familiar with everything around UConn," he said.
"I went to Maryland earlier last year for an unofficial and after sitting with the coaches and watching film I'm liking them."
Isaacs picked up another offer from UMass recently and it's safe to assume more offers are probably coming.
How solid is the Eagles' hold on Isaacs?
"You could say it's a soft verbal," he told EagleAction.com.
"I've been talking to them a little bit. I talked to them the day after Coach Brock went to Rutgers. I called them and talked to Coach Devine for a little bit. I talked to Coach Siravo, too.
"Coach Brock was a big reason I committed. He's a great coach and a great guy but I love everything about Boston College. I guess you could say (Brock leaving) makes a difference but not much."
Isaacs went on to say that he doesn't have any trips scheduled to any other schools but he does plan to visit BC for a practice or the spring game in the near future.
