2013 QB talks SU offer
Forestville (Md.) Bishop McNamara 2013 quarterback Milan Collins holds one offer at this time from Syracuse. The talented prospect talked about that offer with CuseConfidential.com.
"I felt honored when they offered me," Collins said. "I think it is a great school with a good football program. I think that they are missing a player to take them to the top. When I think of Syracuse I think of tradition."
A visit to Syracuse has not been taken yet, but one is in the cards soon.
"I have plans to come up for a visit I'm not sure when I'm coming though."
When it comes to the on field play of Syracuse Collins thought the Orange played well this season, but struggled because they were missing players.
"I think they started off strong, but they had some key injuries and couldn't recover."
On Rivals.com the Maryland product is listed as a quarterback and right now that is where Syracuse likes him.
"From what my coach told me they want me to play quarterback."
Collins might be a division one quarterback prospect, but that's not all. He thinks his versatility on field and off makes him a big time player.
"I aim to separate myself from other guys who could be division one player and this is in the classroom and on the field. I feel me being able to play up to five positions in college helps."
Besides Syracuse there are other schools looking at Collins, but they are waiting on highlight tape before the offer.
"All of the schools I talk to they want my highlight tape and they will make their decision from there."
As for Collins own on field performance this year the season went well, but he is excited for next year.
"The season was better than last year we were still a young team but we look to be the "bully" of the league next year with 23 seniors returning. We will look to do big things."
